BCSSFA Game of the Week

Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers vs Centennial Centaurs

Friday September 21st 7:30

Percy Perry Stadium Town Center Park Coquitlam BC

Lord Tweedsmuir Panthers

"Quote" from Head Coach Kurt Thornton

Lord Tweedsmuir opened its season with a 14-0 win over Burlington Edison followed by a 23-0 loss to Lynden. We learned a lot from these games and the competition was as tough as we have ever had. Our defence was strong and our offence showed promise. We are hoping our o-line starts to gel this week and both the run and pass game start to click. We have some very talented players on both sides of the ball who have yet to play to their full potential. The offensive line is anchored by three returning starters: Adison Sadler, Ryan Rapske and Noah Bedard. Yosef Drysdale has been our leading receiver so far and Noah Anderson has been our main running back. Trey Jones (started week 1 but missed week 2 due to illness) is expected to start at QB. Our defensive line consists of Adison Sadler, Kyle Dodd and Jesse Goedman, with a rotation at defensive tackle. The linebackers have changed each week with Graeme Godard, Colton Cameron and Nathan Gernon all making an impact at different times. The DB group is probably our strongest group consisting of Kojo Odoom, Yosef Drysdale, Jumeiz Omerkodi, Davis Lutterodt (Jaden Simon and Terrell Jones rotating in).

Centennial Centaurs

“Quote" from HOFO Colin Cameron

The Centennial Centaurs are looking forward to a great season in 2018.  The team returns all but one student from last year, so the prospects are high for this Centennial team.  The Centaurs boast a quick tempo, high intensity offense that is designed to move the ball quickly down the field.  Offense will be lead by receivers Domenec Macri and Keiran Little, with Alex Celenza also being a force running the ball.  Uriah Hestdalen will headline as quarterback as well as lead the defense at line-backer. Taha Mojazza and Mason Berto will also be major factors on a tenacious Centennial defense.
