WHAT/WHEN/WHERE

The 16th Annual, Big Kahuna 7 on 7 Passing Challenge will be held on Saturday, June 18th and Sunday, June 19th, at New Westminster Secondary School. The event will be hosted by the New Westminster HS football program, with games taking place at Mercer Stadium (field turf & grass fields).


WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

A chance for you to get a look at your team’s passing offense and defense against some top flight competition. This promises to be a first class event with an emphasis on fun, competition and sportsmanship.

 

FORMAT

Non-contact (no-pads) 7 on 7 football. No linemen (except center), all passing, geared towards all types of US high school offenses. Similar to what you might see at a Team Passing Camp, or “Skelly” session in your own practice.

24 teams, from both sides of the border. Teams will be guaranteed at least five games (40 minute games) and as many as seven. The event will be a two-day format with the round-robin portion on Saturday, followed by a single elimination playoff, and a consolation round on Sunday.

 

ELIGIBILITY

All teams must be representing a varsity high school football program
(Grades 9-12). Maximum: 18 years old

$190 per team ($200 if received after May 31st). Non-refundable.

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

All participants must provide their own insurance. Prior to the event, coaches of all registered teams will receive a liability release form. All athletes must bring a completed copy of this form to the event in order to participate. There will be a certified medical trainer on site throughout the event.

NEW LEVEL TEN COMBINE

Level 10 Fitness is proud to present the inaugural Level 10 Football Specific Combine. Participants of the Big Kahuna 7 on 7 Passing Tournament will be eligible to partake in Football specific testing procedures identical to those seen at NFL, CFL and University Combines across Canada and the USA. The individual tests are designed to provide the greatest amount of feedback concerning each participants overall athletic ability. Each athlete will receive their performance results as well as information on how best to improve their scores to increase their potential to gain a University Scholarship.

BIG KAHUNA SPORTS BOOTH

Big Kahuna Sports will have a booth at our registration location and will be offering special team rates on Adidas football shoes, gloves, and various other types of equipment. Tournament t-shirts and shorts will be available.

 

NOTICE TO COACHES
Each team will be asked to provide a coach to assist in officiating (2-3 games). All coaches will receive a registration package complete with liability release forms, maps, complete rules, and any other event information approximately 10
days prior to the event. Each team will be asked to supply uniforms (preferably two sets with numbers). The awards ceremony takes place immediately following the Championship Game on Sunday at approximately 4 pm.
